Improving the European patent system for a Europe of Innovation
For years now, the BDI has called for a Community Patent that is uniform, cost-effective, and that offers legal certainty.
The EU is yet to find a satisfactory solution for the complex language regulations, in particular. To mark the German Council Presidency, the German Federal Ministry of Justice and the BDI held a joint conference on March 29–30. Optimising existing European patent law is still the most urgent task for quickly improving the international competitiveness of European companies, and for creating adequate incentives for innovations. The BDI has summarized its expectations for the future patent system in a flyer.- Flyer Improving the European patent system (523,66 KB)
