The House of German Business

Berlin has not only become Germany’s most important decision centre. It is also developing into a metropolis of increasingly international standing. Due to its geographic, economic and cultural proximity to the Eastern neighbouring states, Berlin has become a focal point between Eastern and Western Europe. The BDI has returned to this focal point!

Although the BDI was actually founded on the banks of the Spree in the early 20th century, it celebrated its 50-year anniversary on the banks of the Rhine. After decades of successful lobby work in Cologne, the BDI moved back to Berlin and now resides in the House of German Business in Berlin's new centre, together with the German Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Deutscher Industrie- und Handelskammertag, DIHK, www.dihk.de) and the Confederation of German Employers' Associations (Bundesverband der Arbeitgeberverbände, BDA, http://www.bda-online.de).
