Board

The Board of the Federation is made up of the president, the vice presidents, and the chairmen of all of the member associations or a consistent proxy who is member of their Board.

The Board is responsible for all of the procedures of the Federation that are not defined either by law or by other parts of the constitution of the Federation. The Board works especially towards guiding the direction of the BDI. It also has the right to make considerable changes in the work of the BDI and to control the work and membership of both permanent and ad-hoc committees. The Board also keeps the work of the member groups in line with the overall goals of the BDI and also defines cooperation with other business umbrella groups. The Board chooses amongst itself or, in exceptional cases and only with the agreement with one of the chairmen of one of the member organizations, from the 15 member associations that are currently on the Presidential Board and from 6 that are not on the Presidential Board during that session.  As long as they are members of the Board, they cannot be voted out.
