The German Airport Association ADV was founded in Stuttgart in 1947 and is thus the oldest civil aviation association in Germany. The ADV plays an active role in Germany to ensure the country remains a strong and competitive aviation location. It supports all measures to develop the sector along the required lines, ensuring optimal use of available capacities, enhancing intermodality and helping make air transport both environmentally sustainable and profitable.
As a highly reputed specialist association the ADV compiles scientific studies which policy-makers and the aviation industry can access to help master the current economic, technical and business challenges. The dynamic development of national and international civil aviation requires answers to be found to ever new questions on a continuous basis. ADV’s studies have highlighted and documented the changing aviation framework conditions for decades.
The ADV represents its members’ joint interests at national and international level and supports the federal government in bilateral aviation negotiations.
