For many years the Asia-Pacific region has been the world region with the highest dynamic economic growth. Issues relating to Asia therefore have a correspondingly high priority on the BDI agenda, key topics being the promotion of SMEs, trade and climate and innovation. Since the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA) was founded, the BDI has been in charge of the coordination of the APA in Germany.
