Global growth continues at a slower pace

Global economic growth has again increased significantly after the slump in 2009. After an increase of 5.1% in 2010, the IMF forecasts real GDP growth of 4% in 2011 and 2012.

BDI - Federation of German Industry

Organisation

The Federation of German Industries (BDI) is an association of associations. As stipulated in the BDI’s statutes, membership is confined to “industrial sector associations and working groups acting as umbrella organizations to represent entire industrial groups within the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany”.

Members

Currently, the BDI has 37 Member federations, of which 2 are working groups, and represents the interests of 100.000 businesses with 8 million employees. Membership is voluntary.

· Strengthen Germany as an industrial country
